THE CLIENT
What They Asked For.
A retired couple sought a home that felt fresh, calming, and effortlessly functional within a compact apartment. Their ask was not about extravagance. It was about emotional comfort, intelligent storage, and a space that would support their daily life beautifully for years to come.
OUR APPROACH
Calm as a Design Language.
The existing cream-toned flooring of the apartment became the foundation of the entire design. Rather than replacing it, we built around it layering warm cream surfaces, natural teak wood textures, pastel blue accents, and restrained matte black detailing to create a home that feels soft, breathable, and visually timeless.
Every element was chosen to support retirement living not just aesthetically, but emotionally and practically. Curved transitions soften every junction. Pastel blue groove detailing flows continuously along the lintel level, creating a quiet visual rhythm between spaces. And subtle cultural references handcrafted artworks, bird-inspired narratives, devotional symbolism bring emotional familiarity into the modern setting without overpowering it.
