THE CLIENT

What They Asked For.

The client came to us with a deeply rooted cultural identity and a regal personality shaped by Rajput heritage and a personal connection to the spiritual essence of Vrindavan. The brief was not for a luxury apartment in the conventional sense. It was for a home that could carry the emotional weight of palace memory and Krishna devotion through everyday contemporary living.

OUR APPROACH

Royal Indian Living, Refined Through Modern Restraint.

Rather than recreating traditional palace aesthetics literally, Keshav was designed to evoke the emotional essence of royal Indian living through symbolism, material depth, and choreographed spatial experience. Heritage motifs arches, jharokhas, carved details, Pichwai-inspired narratives were reinterpreted through disciplined geometry and muted layering.

Brass became the project’s connective material language, appearing consistently across lighting, hardware, profiles, furniture, and architectural detailing. Sanskrit verses and Krishna symbolism were embedded into the architecture rather than displayed as decoration. The result is a home that feels timeless, deeply rooted, and quietly luxurious without a single moment of visual excess.

WHAT WE BUILT

An Experience That Unfolds, One Room at a Time.

Room 01  /  Entrance & Foyer

A spiritual threshold of brass, jharokhas, and hidden shlokas.

The entrance was designed as an emotional threshold into a contemporary Rajputana-inspired residence. The custom MDF entrance door integrates fifteen handcrafted jharokha-inspired perforations for natural airflow and a restored handmade lion-faced brass handle that anchors the regal character. Adjacent to it, a secondary architectural panel carries engraved Radhe Krishna inscriptions, softly illuminated through concealed sensor lighting at night turning the entrance into a daily spiritual moment.

Inside the foyer, a handcrafted vintage-style jharokha mirror, a lotus-detailed stone inlay belt, and elephant motifs on either side symbolize the welcoming of Mahalaxmi into the home. Behind the console, sixty miniature jharokha-inspired CNC niches reveal the sacred shloka Krishnay Vasudevay Hariye Parmatmane when backlit. Unlit, the wall reads as quiet geometry. Lit, it becomes a blessing.

Room 02  /  Living Room

A layered royal interior of symbolism and symmetry.

The living room reads as a layered experiential space where heritage symbolism, directional philosophy, and contemporary detailing converge. A handcrafted heritage-style carved mirror framed in antique golden tones anchors the western feature wall, surrounded by asymmetrically positioned brass birds in flight. Opposite it, above the eastern passage, a handcrafted brass sun motif and the Sanskrit phrase Anugachhatu Pravah go with the flow symbolically balance the composition through a dialogue between east and west.

The partition between living and kitchen integrates three original century-old jharokhas, carefully restored and embedded into a contemporary aluminium-and-MDF frame. A floating L-shaped stone TV console, decorative fluted pelmets detailed with hanging lattu elements, and a palace-landscape mural complete the composition. Brass appears consistently across hinges, handles, lighting, hardware, and furniture detailing the unifying material discipline of the room.

Reflective surfaces visually amplify spatial depth within the compact footprint.
